Why doctors get stuck
The UAE licensing process is complex by design
The UAE has some of the strictest healthcare credentialing standards in the world. Three separate authorities, mandatory primary source verification through DataFlow, authority portals that change without notice, and Prometric exams in English — all while you are still working full-time somewhere else.
Mistakes are expensive. A rejected DataFlow application means restarting a 4–12 week process from scratch. Missing a document on the portal can suspend an application for months. We eliminate that risk.
DataFlow rejections set you back months
A single missing or incorrectly submitted document triggers a full re-verification cycle.
Three authorities, three different rules
DHA, DOH and MOH each have distinct requirements, eligibility criteria and timelines.
Portals change without announcement
Sheryan and the DOH portal update their requirements regularly — what worked last year may not work today.
Which authority?
DHA, DOH or MOH — we know the difference
Your licensing authority depends on where in the UAE you plan to work. If you're unsure, we advise you as part of the initial review.

How it works
Five steps from application to license
We handle steps 1–5 — you handle your move.
Document preparation
1–3 daysWe audit your documents — degree certificates, transcripts, experience letters, good standing letters and passport — and flag any gaps before you submit anything.
DataFlow primary source verification
4–12 weeksDataFlow contacts your original institutions directly to verify every credential. This is mandatory for all UAE health authorities and cannot be bypassed. We manage the submission and follow up on your behalf.
Authority portal application
1–2 weeksOnce DataFlow clears, we compile and submit your full application on the Sheryan (DHA), DOH or MOH portal — uploading documents, filling eligibility forms and paying the authority fees.
Prometric exam (where required)
2–6 weeksMost specialties require a licensing exam. We provide the study guide, book your exam date and liaise with Prometric on your behalf. Some profiles are exempt — we confirm this in your initial review.
License issued
Days after examYour UAE medical license is issued by the authority, valid for 2 years and renewable. We deliver the final documents and advise on renewal timelines.

FAQ
Common questions
What is DataFlow and why is it mandatory?
DataFlow Group is the official primary source verification (PSV) provider for UAE health authorities. They contact your original universities, hospitals and licensing bodies directly to confirm your credentials are genuine. Every applicant must pass DataFlow — there are no exceptions. The process takes 4–12 weeks depending on how quickly your institutions respond.
My degree is from multiple countries — is that a problem?
Not at all, but it does require more coordination. DataFlow will verify each country separately. We handle all follow-up with your institutions and flag any issues early so nothing delays your timeline.
Do I need to sit the Prometric exam?
Most specialties require a Prometric licensing exam, but exemptions exist for highly experienced professionals, certain nationalities and specific qualifications. We confirm your exam status in the initial review — before you commit to anything.
Which authority should I apply to — DHA, DOH or MOH?
It depends on where you plan to work. DHA covers Dubai, DOH covers Abu Dhabi, and MOH covers all other emirates. If you are undecided, we advise on the most practical choice based on your target employer and specialty.
How long does the full process take?
From document preparation to license issuance, expect 3–6 months in total. DataFlow is the longest step at 4–12 weeks. We track every stage and keep you updated so there are no surprises.
What is not included in the €1,450 service fee?
The DataFlow PSV fee (approx. €180–350), the authority application fees, the Prometric exam fee and any official translation costs are paid directly to the respective bodies and are not included in our service fee. We provide a full cost estimate before you start.
